I picture you in the sun - Wondering what went wrong - And falling down on your knees - Asking for sympathy
This song first came to me in an episode of Scrubs (great show by the way) and it is a beautiful song. For a while I forgot about it but tonight I just started humming and I had no idea where it came from. But it's back. And I'm happy. I think that everyone should try to get the lyrics, if not, google them and listen to the song, I love it.
It's is, though, a sort of sad song. It brings sad memories. Memories will always be memories, but some of them are more sad than others. I remember when I was in France, I would start to tune out what people were saying all around me and just let my mind wander... to anything. I remembered getting married to Colin and our daily morning spinning contest. I remembered playing lava floor and dancing around a pile of pennies to the song Waterloo by Abba. Well, back to the point. My mind would wander and I would start laughing, all of a sudden and (so it would seem to the others) for no reason. Well, finally Charles asked my "What are you thinking about?" I laughed and began to tell my childhood, bits and pieces at a time. At the beginning, I think Charles thought I was crazy, but he soon learned that I'm not your average girl, I have a crazy past, an insane present, and an ever-changing future.
Later, maybe the week before I left, I was talking to Charles and I said "You're lucky you know." He just laughed at me, then asked why. I simply explained that he was lucky that I always thought of happy things, happy memories. If every time I thought of happy things I laughed, does that mean that every time I think of sad things I'll cry? That, I explained, is why Charles is lucky. Of course, he just laughed again.
So today I went back to school, and it was pretty useless. Next Monday is our Earth Summit in the year 2050. Well, I had only just heard of it today so I had nothing prepared and instead of a regular day, we had a full-day work period on it. Joy. Well... we started with Ms. Webb where we explored our characters, but since my character was non-existent, I couldn't do anything. We then went with Mr. Hill where we had a work period, but since no computers were available, I did math instead. After we had lunch then we were with Mme. Bellemare. She was teaching us about our presentations but since I didn't have any, and I didn't want to improve anything to show off my 'quirks' I sat there doodling with Emily. Then we had Ms. Vamvalis where we presented our speeches, again I just sat there. And for the rest of the week, we are working on the play, which I'm not going to be in because it's on Friday and I haven't been there. Though I may be in the dance.
So that's it. After school I exercised for an hour and a half while watching Prison Break then had a nice long shower. I'm all clean now and I think I'll go sleep. I miss France, I do, but it's also good to be back. Also, after that long exercise thingy I have calves of steel! Woohoo! Hee hee.

I came here with a load - And it feels so much lighter - Now I met you
Okay, so I'm sure that many of you are thinking "Yes! Those three crazy months of interesting but never-the-less crazy thoughts are finally over!" Okay, think again.
That's right, I'll be continuing my blog. I won't change the link so as not to confuse you but I might change my mind about that decision at a later date. Let me know what you think of that topic. So, I'll still keep this thing running, slowly but running. I probably won't write in it as often, though that's already started, if you look at the archives, I wrote less and less each month.
So it'll keep going, through graduation, this summer, starting highschool, etc. If you want to keep reading that, by all means, go ahead. If that bores you, I will not have any hurt feelings so no worries. Alright, moving on.
It feels so wierd to be typing on a Canadian keyboard and the computer actually producing the letters that I'm hitting. (If you didn't understand that, just ignore it, it's irrelevant).
So that's right, I got back from France Wednesday afternoon and that night I went to the IB open house with Sara, Emily, Ryan and Andre. It was okay, I was wide awake but I crashed hard after it was over. Thursday we went to pick up Jane at the airport and yesterday Jane's friends came over and I did nothing all day. This morning I went for a walk with Freya and my mom and then we went to Starbucks. This afternoon we're going to a soccer game in BMO stadium.
I hate being in my room because I always want to eat the candy I brought home. I hate this, it's torture. Why does French candy have to be so much better?! WHY?! So anyway, yesterday I watched Grey's Anatomy (OMG!) and I'm slowly catching up on 24. My life's a bit boring right now but that's okay. I have my Spirit of Math exam coming up and I think I'll fail because I almost failed last year and that's when I actually went to the classes.
So I think I'll go now. Talk later.

It's the circle of life - And it moves us all - Through despair and hope - Through faith and love - Till we find our place - On the path unwinding
OK everyone, I am deeply sorry for leaving you in a sad state of affairs almost 2 weeks ago! That was just plain cruel! Excusez-moi, je suis carrément désolé. I am officially going home TOMORROW! Okay, so I'll be totally whipped from pulling an all-nighter the night before, jet-lag, the IB open house and all that jazz but I'll be home. I'll be petting Freya, drinking Starbucks, watching Grey's Anatomy, the whole deal. Today's lyrics are a classic and I think that everyone who reads this post should listen to the song once directly after, it's inspiring.
Well, if you haven't noticed, my spirits have noticably lifted. I'm cheery, of couse, I'm leaving in a little over 12 hourse and I haven't packed my suitcase. That should be fun, non? Last week, Jane called and while talking to her in English, I would add words in French here and there. Freaky eh?
I've met the requirements for all those coming home from France: I gave cookies to all my teachers, I bought presents for my hostfamily, I bought presents for friends back home, I've made a CD with French and English songs for the ride home from the airport, I've done it all.
Today was my last day of school so I said goodbye to everyone and they all pitched in and bought me a present. I'm excited about our all-nighter tonight!!
Well, if I don't write again before I leave, the next time I write, I'll be on Canadian soil! I miss you all, see you soon!

Took a right to the end of the line - Where no one ever goes - Ended up on a broken train with nobody I know
Hello. Bonjour. Hola. Hallo. Whatever.
Today I feel blah. I'm in the missing stage I think. And yes, I just created that stage right now. I'll start with explaining the picture though. I drew it today by closing my eyes and drawing what I saw. If anyone wants to take a stab at what it might [possibly] mean, go for it. I personally have no clue. And the lyrics I chose (middle-left) are pretty much a code aswell. Good luck.
Anyway, the missing stage:
I would descibe where I am as the missing stage because it's now where you start to think "I love this room, but I miss my room" or "I love this dog, but I miss my dog" and here's the kicker "I love this family, but I miss my family". So it kinda sucks. Of course, nothing is wrong, except that maybe my rat died and I found out yesterday, and everyone (including me, I'll admit) acts the same. I put my brave face on all day. Last night I cried. A mixture of complicated things. I think my brave face is going to kill me, it's stretched to it's max. I am counting down the days 'till I get home, I'm ashamed to admit. I miss everyone.

When I wanted to call you - And ask you for help - I stopped myself
Hello everybody. Todays blog comes with good and bad news. I'll start with the bad so we can move on to the good, because everyone prefers good to bad. And the picture goes with the good news. Don't worry, it'll be explained. Alright, well the bad news is that Ice Cream, my rat died. Either yesterday or a few days ago. I'm okay.
The good news is that yesterday I went with Marie and Juliette to Rouen and we did some shopping, during which I bought this skirt and shirt (look to picture) and Juliette bought that skirt. And some other things for some other people.
Well, last night was a big party for a cousin (I think, atleast a family member) and it was huge. We personally got home at 3:30 but it was going all night and long into the morning. Ad halfway through the party Olivier took me out to see his friends pet one month old pig that he kept (for the party atleast) in the trunk. He was very cute. Anyway, today is Fete de Travail and no one has work or school except the Lancesseurs. Well, I'm going to go fete not working. Until next time! I miss you all, see you in 2 weeks!

I can see you're sad, even when you smile, even when you laugh - I can see it in your eyes, deep inside you want to cry
Hello everyone!
It's been forever since I've written and I sincerely apologize for that. I've been busy but my mood has picked up. I'm on the coasting part of the roller coaster just after the drop. So much has happened since my last post, considering that was a week ago, I think it's only fair.
Okay, well we'll start with my birthday. It started like an almost normal day, except for the huge sign that said Joyeux Anniversaire Lulu! because Lulu is one of my [many] nicknames. Anyway, later that afternoon, Juliette asked me if I wanted to go for a bike ride. I agreed and off we went. When we came back, a short two hours later, the curtains were drawn, a black towel thrown over the glass door and all doors shut, I went right up to my room. Well, since I could do basically nothing on the main floor, I read my book. Later, I was summoned downstairs. Marie was filming with my camera and everyone else was doing some type of song and dance of Happy birthday, in French. The whole room was transformed, it was amazing. I have pictures.
http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1891&l=dcf0a&id=507199787
Well, the next day, two of Juliette's friends came over, Jeanne and Juliette. At the same time, Marie had two friends over. It was crowded and everyone slept over. It was fun and I also have pictures.

Gotta make a move to a town that's right for me
A slight continuation of my last post:
It's the 2 1/2 week holiday that I've pretty much been looking forward since the last holiday and what do I get to spend it doing? Canadian homework. Pretty freaking great huh? I know, you're all just so jealous. That's why I probably wont write much, I have tons of Canadian homework AND French homework. Joy.

Even the best fall down sometimes - Even the wrong words seem to write
I feel like vomiting, and I'm not sick. I feel like screaming at someone, punching someone, and I'm not really sure who or why. I feel disconnected, I cried last night. I feel alone a lot. No one emailed me today. And of course, it's my birthday tomorrow. What exactly am I feeling? Feelings.

Look - If you had one shot - Or one opportunity - To seize everything you ever wanted - Would you capture it - Or just let it slip

Okay, I'll have to start choosing harder lyrics because these are just SO easy! A classic song with so many good memories... Ahh.... *thinking about all the memories*
Anyway, yesterday was Francoise's birthday! Joyeux Anniversaire Chouchou! And we went to Mt. Saint Michel. Unfortunatly, this isn't my picture because it was really foggy yesterday, but this is it, nice eh? As some of you may know, it's an island with high tide and... not an island with low tide. You can have a guide lead you in on foot (to guide you around the quicksand) but when the tide comes in, it comes faster than a galloping horse so watch out. I especially like the sign that said "If you parked in ______ area, please move your car by _____ o'clock because of high tide", fun fun. We drove there (2 hours) and then went for lunch in this crazy famous omelette place. They beat the eggs for like an hour then cook it in a wood stove, I took a video, it's really cool. After we ate, we walked up to the church and got a tour. Juliette and I weren't very interested so we set my camera on timer mode and took a bunch of pictures. :P After the tour, which took a while, we set off back down the hill and hopped into the car. We drove to a cookie factory and bought cookies and stuff (I bought something for Canada!), it was really cool because they have to stuff they don't use on display like the cookie "cutters". These big rolls with imprints for the cookies. After we left, we went to a crepe place and ate dinner. Two and a half hours later, we were home. We ate the lemon cake that Juliette, Emma and I had made the day before. It was good, then we all fell into bed. In 2 days it's my birthday! I'm excited, since last time I wrote, I have gotten a package from my mom and Sara, thanks you guys! I miss you all!

I turned up your TV and stomped on the floor just for fun - I know we don't live here anymore - We bought an old house on the danforth
Please family, try to stay sane without me... just try, for me.
Hello all! It's yours truely, today is Wednesday (my half day as you know if you have taken my quiz) and I'm home with everyone. Well, almost everyone anyway. About that little family insanity thing, don't take it personally, it's meant for my two Toronto-living sisters, if you happen to BE one of my two Toronto-living sisters, take it very personally. :D I say this with love of course...
There are some things that I'll never understand; why the sky is blue, why the grass is green, why my sisters have proceeded to chuck their birth names out the window and be refered to or close an email with the names 'Katinka' and 'Beccalopolis' or whatever. Go figure.
But I've decided not to dwell on that funny business because in exactly 7 days, it's my birthday! (and Beccalopolis' birthday). So far I have received three birthday packages (Granny and Pappy, Gama and Grandpa, Tante Liz) and my mother informed me that she sent hers today! Oh what a happy day today is. Of course I have two tests tomorrow and another one on Friday but I like to live in the moment, does this mean I don't have to study? Will wonders never cease... :P
In 2 days it's officially the vacation and once we start school again after, I only have 2 weeks left. Crap I really have to start buying presents for people... hee hee. Speaking of which... er... not really speaking of which, I'll rephrase that... something totally irrelevant... great, now after that whole irrelevant-speaking-of-which thing I forgot what I was going to say, I hope you had fun reading this totally pointless paragraph.
I've officially hooked the Lancesseur girls on Veronica Mars, it was on TV one day and I said I knew it so we watched it and voila! But we're starting from square one... er... season one anyway.
Well, I'm counting down until the vacation, it's pretty easy, two days. Okay, so you don't need to be super strong in math to count but whatever, I'm proud of me.
As always, guess the lyrics, this one's a 'classic'.

I tried my best to leave this all on your machine but the persistent beat it sounded thin upon listening
I'm practically GIVING away lyrics here. People please, this once's super-easy. Ready, set... GO!! Good luck to all, who shall win?? Well, today is Easter Sunday and I think I might be sick. My problem is that when I eat chocolate, I never know when I've had enough until I've had too much, I must work on that...
Anyway, I'll start with the beginning of the weekend and work my way to my present position. Okay... So Friday after school...
I got home Friday and did all my homework for the weekend so that I wouldn't have to do any later when I am really not in the mood. So Friday was normal, Juliette had music, Charles came, Emma and I leave school together, etc. Moving on to Saturday.
Saturday morning, Charles and Marie left early because Marie has school (but only gym) Saturday morning and Charles has music. When Charles got back, Juliette, Charles and I went to the train station to go to Rouen. We got there 2 minutes late and it had left so we bought lunch and tickets for the next train, in an hour. When we got to Rouen we shopped a bit. Juliette's bag had broken last week so she needed a new one but she needed a specific colour - Green apple. So, we started our mission, at first we had trouble finding stores that had any type of backpack but we soon found a few. We also found out that every store has EVERY colour except green apple. I found a green but aparently it was puke green and she wanted green apple. In one store, Juliette was looking for so long that Charles and I started fooling around with the other bags that were there. There was one that I simply loved. It was a penguin with little flippers and a beak sticking out. And then, to make it oh so perfect, when you squeezed te beak, it squeaked. Like a dog's toy. Charles couldn't stop laughing. Juliette couldn't find green apple so she settled on chocolate. I though it was funny when Charles suggested a yellow bag and Juliette simply told him that it was piss-yellow. I love their descriptions. Well, after shopping Charles went out to a party, Juliette and I ordered pizza and watched the whole 3rd season of Friends. Fun fun. The morning after we woke up late, ate lightly and caught a train home.
SUNDAY: After the train home, we were picked up and driven home to where we had lunch. The Easter chocolate had started alreay because in every cup was 3 chocolates. Mmm... Well, after lunch, we searched for our chocolate that Marie had hidden, my favourite was when Marie put mine in the lawnmower. Where the grass grows. Yum. Well, it was really amusing an we had lots of pictures, after that we played a bunch of games outside then we went to the beach and invented a game where everyone takes a flip-flop and we keep a rock up, fun but painfull. :P
We came home and ate more chocolate and that's where I am now. Sitting beside the computer, happy that we had no school tomorrow because every Monday, we have 8 hours of school, I counted and I only have 1 full Monday left, I'll explain why next time. Now I should go help with dinner. Bye!!

You said you fell while holding diamonds in your hand - It's your fault for running holding diamonds, I swear
This is a beautiful picture of all the gum that my Grandparents and my mother have sent me, punched out of the container it came in and put into this cute box that I bought. Yum...
I created a quiz (thanks Emily for the idea) about my time in France and things I have written on my blog so please don't cheat while taking the quiz and stop to re-read things, that's no fun. http://www03.quizyourfriends.com/quizpage.php?quizname=070405123050-268166
I got my second French test back today, 1.7 whoopee. 17.5 in math though and 19 in English. We're learning algebra in math now and since I know that already (x+6=10, x=?) it's a breeze.
My birthday is coming up (yay!) so send me birthday (atleast) cards! Gama and Grandpa, you guys are off the hook, thanks for all the stuff!!
I don't have much else to say, I'll write again later, or atleast I'll try. This weekend is Easter weekend sort of) and we're going to Rouen then Belgium!! Yeah.. it rocks. Then once next week of school is over, it's Easter vacation for 2 1/2 weeks!! It's so muh better. We're not doing anything for vacation so I guess I'll be doing Canadian homework. While eating chocoate of course... :P
Love you all and miss you!

We're all of us stars - We're fading away - Just try not to worry - You'll see us someday
Poisson D'Avril! Otherwise known as April Fool's! Oh my god, are you missing out in Canada. All my memories of April Fool's consist of taping paper fish to peoples backs. BO-RING. Those of you who don't understand that quote please go to www.homestarrunner.com directly after reading this blog post and go to the legal section. Then wait a little while, I promise that something happens.
Well, as you probably know, the fool's day in April fell this year on a Sunday. Perfect. That means that we have all of Saturday to prepare. *Devlish laugh* Emma, Juliette and I stayed up 'till 1 am preparing. It was so much fun. We started by taking all the bowls (an essential part of a French breakfast) and hid them in my closet which we locked with a key. Then we tied all the chairs to the table and locked the door that the parents use every morning to come downstairs, this way they have to go around the long way. We attached the garbagecan so that it wouldn't open and taped down all the lightswitches and the computer mouse. We put that transparent plastic film that stretches over the toilets and tied the door shut. We set up trip wires in front of Marie and Charles' door and pushed a huge wooden chest in front of the door that the parents would need to use the next morning. Then we went to bed.
That morning, the parents had woken up and already left. The two girls and I had decided to meet at 9:15 and proceed with caution. We started downstairs and opened the door to the kitchen, there was a cup of water balanced carefully on the top of the door, fortunatly for us, it didn't fall. In fact, we didn't even notice it until five minutes later. Well, the parents had de-rigged all of our tricks and the water was just the first sign of theirs. They had changed all the clocks, they had hidden our food, taped drawers, filled the milk container with water, etc. Every time you thought that it was over, another thing would prove to be misplaced or rigged or what not. V. v. amusing. Well, we finished eating and set up the parents tricks for Charles and Marie. Charles was the first one to wake.
Emma, Juliette and I were in the dining room when we heard his door open. All we heard was "What the..." before we burst out laughing. He came down and entered the kitchen, this time the water did fall. So, so, so, so funny. He pulled the chairs, searched for the bowls, searched for the milk, the chocolate, the bread, the whole deal. Marie was lucky. Well, once every one was up, the teams were clear: Marie and Charles against Emma, Juliette and me.
Well, Charles locked us downstairs while Marie took apart our rooms and through all our stuff out the window and then Charles changed all the settings on the computer, creating passwords for everything so that we couldn't access anything on the computer. It was Juliette who cracked one of the codes and Marie told me another. For one of the hints, it said "The sentence that is very true" Yeah, it was "Charles is the best".
And then some small stuff like hiding all my toiletries and putting clothespins in my shoes and vinegar in peoples water and nice things like that. We had a lot of fun. I think that the best part was when the water fell on Charles. That was hilarious. Well, I have to go eat now but that's why I didn't write yesterday (the passwords). I miss everyone!

I wish that I could cry - Fall upon my knees - Find a way to lie - About a home I'll never see
Hello all,
It's is super-duper important for you to know that Marie wrote today's lyrics. Yes, they were chosen by me but it was HER that wrote them. Who will guess and (possibly) answer correctly first? I am certain that Sara knows the song but will she be the first to see? I don't know, she does have school. Oh another thing, it's up to vous to keep track of your hugs. And I might upgrade it soon to bisous. For those of you who are under-cultured bisous are kisses. *mwah* God I déteste quand les personnes write *mwah* Who ever is reading this, plant this seed in your brain forever and ne ditez JAMAIS *mwah* parce que c'est dégeulasse. Et pour Juliette, c'est crad. All you Canadians who don't speak French or don't speak enough French to understand, look it up on an online translator or whatever. Anyway.
I went to Jane's blog aujourd'hui et j'ai vu que she is copying everything I do. Whose idea was it to run? Okay, but exercise is close enough. Whose idea was it to use song lyrics? Okay, I'll admit, c'était moi. Whatever, je suis carrément gentille alors I will let her use my ideas, because they're just so darn good. Good luck with the running, it takes a little motivation. Speaking of which, this morning I woke myself at 6:20 du matin and ran 3.5 km with Marie and Juliette. It was good, and not so hard this time, we're doing the same thing tomorrow morning too. When we told people at school, they thoughts that we were folles. Tant pis.
GREAT NEWS!!! I had my first presentation in French today!! The teacher asked me if I would like to present and I said no thank you but she made me present anyway. But I got a 20!! OUT OF 20!! And Juliette didn't even help, though she does with everything else, merci mon p'tit ananas, je t'aime, gros bisous!! Juliette is mon ananas and I am son canard. We're just so darn cute, I know. Okay, I'll stop.
Aujourd'hui I finally spent money! I bough beautiful earrings and postcards which I will be mailing around, though I only bought 6. And a small Diddl box. Oh and hand magnets (for my locker). Well, I think I'm going to lose connection pretty soon so I'll talk later!!
Beaucoup de gros bisous a tout le monde! Je vous aime! Vous me manquez! Au revoir!

Si tu me fuis, je te suis, tu me suis, je te fuis, c'est la vie et je la veux en l'air
I hurt myself today - to see if I still feel - I focus on the pain - the only thing that's real
This is me bowling. See how good I am? I'm kidding, though I am great. Ah, how you've probably all not missed my terrible sense of humor. It's funny because in French, when you say "C'est terrible!" it can either mean "That's awfull!" or "It kicks ass!". You have to judge the tone. Also I love French bowling shoe, they're hilarious!
These lyrics should be a no brainer to you dad! A gift from me to you.
So today I'm still sick but I went to school. Thankfully, because of my schedule and because of absent teachers, I ended at 10 o'clock after an hour of basketball and an hour of Anglais. Tough, I know.
I like being at home alone but two days in a row and I'm running out of things to do. These are somethings I've done already:
-Canadian homework
-Went to the doctors
-Read a lot of my book
- Wrote on my blog
-Checked my email a bizzilion times
-Carved a bit of this rock that I'm carving. I'm trying to carve it right through so that the two rocks fit together to form a heart. It's pretty cool
-Set the table for snack which happens once everyone gets home
-Colour co-ordinated everything on the set table (e.g. pink with pink, blue with blue)
-Searched on the internet on how to fold napkins in a fancy way
-Folded all the napkins into bishop hats (I'll take a picture, don't worry)
-Played with the two dogs
-Ran a bunch
That about sums it up. In regards to the running thing, I'm going to try to run more so as not to come home as big as a rhino. Good idea? I think so. I'm going to try to run every day but knowing me, I'll probably stop when the week's over, wish me luck!

Who can it be knocking at my door - Make no sound, tiptoe across the floor
Alright, this one (lyrics) is so easy I'm practically GIVING you the answer. Someone, please take me out of my misery and tell me what song the lyrics correspond with.
Well, there are two reasons I didn't write yesterday. The first one is that I was sick. The second is that I did write this huge long blog post and then it crashed and I lost it. I was so ticked off with the thing for crashing that I refused to write another post, I have my pride. Anyway, I'll fill you in on everything that happened.
Sunday I started to get sick - I had a stuffy nose, sore throat, achy back, all that jazz. I was so tired during the whole day and then at night, of course, I couldn't sleep. I ended up falling asleep at 1:00 in the morning. Then at 2:30 in the morning the little corner table that is above my head collapsed. It didn't hurt, just surprised me. I had no idea which was was up and there was no light. It was a shocker. Anyway, I fixed it and drifted back to sleep. In the morning I woke up with everything from Sunday intensified a little and a slight fever. Well guess what? I got to skip school! And what a day to be sick too, Monday's are the days with 2 hours of French, and we had a test (which Juliette told me later was really hard). I read my book, used a million tissues, went to the doctor, did some Canadian homework, etc etc. The doctors in France is different. For one, it looks like a house, kind of like where I got my wisdom teeth out, but it's all proffesional on the inside. I like it. The only difference is the medicine. In Toronto with a fever you take what as medicine? One or two things. Currently I am taking 4 different things to get better. It's crazy. Most I don't mind but one of them, instead of giving us the kind you swallow, he gave us the kind that dillutes in water then you drink the whole thing. It's disgusting.
Saturday we went bowling and went to a Chinese food buffet. It was really good. In bowling I came 2nd next to Olivier who came first. I was the only one who got a strike! And this isn't lik fake bowling that you would do at birthday parties, this is real bowling balls and gutterballs and the whole deal. It was great. Well, I should go now, I'll talk later. Leave comments, email me, etc. I miss everyone tons!

Life's like an hourglass glued to the table
Okay everyone. These lyrics are easy. Start guessing! And in regards to "My life is null and void - dismantled and destroyed" I found out that googling was involved! I have to say that I am personally shocked that my own mother would do such a thing. No I'm kidding, but no googling for these lyrics, they're pretty easy.
Anyway. Yesterday I couldn't sleep at midnight so I went downstairs and I got out my spirit of math (I'm such a hard worker!). Charles was on the computer and when he saw the math he started at it right away. Turns our Charles loves Jet Set. I had done all the 'easy' questions so he got the hard ones. It was hilarious. He's like you dad, he must work on a question until he gets the answer. Mostly I just doodled beside him but I watched too. We only have like 8 questions left of the 50!! It's great.
Anyway, we worked for an hour or so then Charles went to bed because he has music tomorrow at 9:30 am. That's when Sara came on msn. We chatted for a while and then at 2:30 in the morning, I finally went to bed. But it was good to talk to Sara.
Right now I'm home along because all the little Lancesseurs are at music and the parents are at the greenhouse. I just showered so I'm nice and clean and I smell nice, though it's hard to smell things via computers so don't try. =P
Good news! Jane got her package and seems in higher spirits. She emailed me and told me everything that was in it, I asked her to =)
I don't have any news really but as soon as I do I'll write about it for eager eyes, I promise.
I love and miss you all!

My life is null and void - dismantled and destroyed
Hello everyone.
Don't worry, my life is not null and void. Nor is it dismantled and destroyed. Again the song lyrics. So far no one's made a guess. Come on people! But don't just google the lyrics, that's too easy. Don't worry, the next one will be easier.
I just had a thought like 5 minutes ago. I have been here for 1 month already and I have spent 0 euros. Not a cent! It's crazy but it's (I guess) to be expected. No wait! I did spend it, I bought postcards, but that's it. Other than that, I've been hanging out at home or at school or whatever. I think I'll spend more as I near the end of my visit, you know, pressies and whatnot.
So it the weekend right?? Well, I have a full day of school on Monday but Tuesday I end at 10 o'clock. It's great, I know.
The reason I keep skipping lines is for a new train of thought. My brain, you see, switched tracks in mere milliseconds so I'm doing my best to help you all understand, just trust me and don't try to find the connection, sometimes they are buried very deep.
I'll just take this chance to remind everyone that I am using my gmail address and NOT my sympatico address for emails. Most people understood but there have been a few confused people so I'm clarifying for everyone.
Only 26 days until my birthday or something like that. For all of you who want to send me birthday packages, my birthday is the 18th of April and my mailing address will be at the end of this post, which is coming up.
I don't know what else to say except Jane it seems like you're in better spirits which is good and everyone else: keep emailing me and posting comments on my blog, I love it!
Love and miss you all!

All I know is I'm lost without you - How am I going to be strong without you
Hello all,
As you may have noticed, but probably not, you're probably just really confused, I have been using lyrics as titles for my posts. It's completely random.
Today I had History then study (where I did more SMS, I have done 30 questions already!) then double gym. We left gym half and hour early and went to a gymnastics competition. Juliette wasn't in it because half of her team is in Germany but there were 3 other teams from our school. It was all really good and one of our teams came first! They were really good... I mean really good. But so was the second place team, it was close. Juliette competes next week with all the first place teams. Good luck Juliette and Emma L. (they're on the same team)!
Yesterday I made cookies and everyone loved them. It was good. I stared with Juliette but then she left to go to music then I ended with Emma when she came back from music. That hour in between was good because it was something I was used to doing on my own and it reminded me of home. My emotions are rollercoasting but generally I have high spirits which is good. And I just found out that my other is going to send me another package next week! Thank you so much mom!! I love packages! Hint hint nudge nudge to anyone else who feels like sending me something. No, I'm kidding (though I do love packages...).
I just paused because I heard Juliette screaming "EMMA!!"
I walked over to the window and she was outside on Tartine, the horse. She was only asking me to put the oven on. Good times. :D Life's a little crazy.
I love and miss you all tons!

There are two roads to walk down and one road to choose
Hello all,
Today's Tuesday and because so many teachers are away on trips, I actuallyhave NO school today! Is that awesome or what? Well, I'm going to make cookies today because everyone else has school today. Well, Juliette starts music at 3 and Marie and Emma started at 10 but still. Emma has 2 hours of class today, then she has music. Juliette still sleeping (It's 11:30 in the morning) but it's basically just me. Well, yesterday I got my first test back, and it was in French (not just the language but also the subject) and I got 3!! I'm very proud of myself. Those of you who don't know the French way of tests I shall explain. Every test is out of 20. It is considered a very good if you get a 15 and exceptional to get anything higher. Rarely is a 2o scored. Around is what you are supposed to aim for. Well you're supposed to aim for 20 but 10 is like our B. From 5 - 10 is a C and 5 and under is a D. The first day I got there, everyone else got a test back. To give you an idea, the highest mark was 13 and a few people got 0's, now do you understand why I'm happy? Good good. Well, I did 8 Jet Set VII questions today for SMS, dad, you would have been proud. Well, I think I'll go start the cookies now. I hope everyone is enjoying their March Break!

Trendsetter extrodinaire
Wow. Ever since I got a blog, people have been getting blogs left right and center at Voice! It's amazing. Rachel F has one, Emily Chong, Catelyn and I think a few others too. I think Chris has one but I'm not sure. I feel so special. I am the trendsetter extrodinaire.

No title, sorry
Hello everyone.
Well, after that little internet episode I'm sure everyone's happy to hear from me again. Ha ha, kidding of course. But I am happy to hear from me again. :)
As you know, if you scroll down, you will see the pictures from Corsica, or rather the link. I am putting the videos up but sometimes with youtube you have to upload them twice and it's a little slow so don't hold your breath...
I got my Canadian package yesterday and it was perfect. It had candy, books, gum, and muffin tins. Thanks mom and dad! I watched Grey's Anatomy yesterday BEFORE everyone else. Thank you time difference! Thursday I was a bit sad because Jane called and I left the house at 7:45 AM and got home at 7:45 PM so it was a long day. But today I'm up and running fullspeed again. Since all the teachers are away, we have like a million studies. That really gives a girl time to think. Well, today's Saturday and since it's March 17th (I think) many of you are off vacationing. That's okay, I'm thinking of you.
Yesterday I got to talk on msn with webcam to my mom, dad, and my Becca. It was good, I didn't cry. The thing about this trip is that it's got it's highs, and it's got it's lows. Fortunately for me, it's mostly high. Unfortunately, the lows are pretty low. But I just grit my teeth, eat some junk and move on. That's why I'm so happy mom sent me candy. It's not that they don't have candy in France, believe me, they do, it's just that we don't live in a city, like Toronto. Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's probably way better for my health if I'm not always walking to the store to buy Junk. Ah well, those were the days. Alright, that's enough rambling for now. Today I think we're going to make muffins and go see a movie. Can't wait, actually, not sarcastically. We're trying out the new muffin tins that mom sent. Bye for now!

Whew...
Hello Everyone,
First off, I'd just like to say sorry for taking so long to write! It's Friday night at the last time I wrote was Sunday night after getting home from Corsica (I think). The internet was down, but it was really complicated and Charles had to work on it for like the whole night before it started to work the day after. Today after school was the first time it worked. But then MSN wouldn't work. But now, with a hop and a skip, it's all up and running again. You can all let out that breath you were holding.
Well, it's the moment you've all been waiting for, pictures! Yes, the Corsica pictures have arrive, I will post the link in another post as they will be ready in about 5 minutes or so. I have about 4 videos which I will put on youtube and post the link here!
Love and miss everyone!!

Corsica
Hello everyone,
It's me and I'm finally back from my wonderful vacation that to me, was a combination of Cuba and the March when we went to the South of France. It was hot. It was fun. It was not long enough. Vacation's never are. Even when they're say... 3 months. Oh well, I shall begin to tell you of all our different adventures.
We started the whole thing on Wednesday, February 28th at 4:30 in the morning when I woke up and started the 10 hour drive to Marseille. It wasn't technically me driving but still. We got to Marseille and got onto our boat for the night, it was around 6 pm (I think) when we started 'sailing' and we arrived the next day at 8:30 (again, I think). I was sick. Oh boy was I sick. You know how I get really pale when I'm about to faint or I'm really sick? Yeah, well I was. Pale I mean. Thank god for Gravol.
We then drove the 3 or 4 kilometers to our house, kind of like what Chris and Conrad had in Le Lavendou. It was gorgeous. I have tons of pictures and I have 4 or 5 videos. I'll put them on youtube and post the address here, they're funny but in French.
Every day we did something different. Well, not really every day, we'd do something, have a day off, then do something else the day after. One day we went on a hike to see some big hole. Juliette and I started to walk faster and soon got a very big lead. We walked, following the trail and we walked and we walked etc. At 1:30 (we started around 9ish) we decided that since we didn't see the others, we'd call them and tell them that we were going to eat our sandwiches. We called and were told that we had taken a wrong turn somewhere and were very far away from the other. Juliette hung up and we started our equally long walk back. We met up and all was well again but still. We had been in the middle of no where. Fun eh? It was actually. :P
Charles and I had an ongoing war throughout the whole trip. He's like the brother I never had, no wait, he IS the brother I never had. Sometimes he would win and sometimes I would win. He dumped water on my head, I dumped water on his. It was fun.
On time we were on the terrace and Francoise and her mother were relaxing below and Olivier decided to pour water on their heads. We all had a laugh. I can't really say much else about the trip only that the pictures and videos will be up soon!

Loathing
Just last night I was listening to that wonderful song from the musical Wicked, Loathing. It reminded me of the drives with Sara, Emily, Rachel, and Ian where Sara would switch Ian's Pod for her iPod in the car and we'd listen to Loathing. Ian would shake his head sadly, trying desperatly to educate us in 'good' music. Good times.
The muffins were sucessful, sort of. The Lancesseur's don't have muffin tins so we improvised. They had mini tins where the muffins were so small, smaller than half a two-bite brownie. Then we had small loafs and one that was basically the right size. It was fun.
We are going to Corsica in two days!! Today is preperation day. And tomorrow. For the past two days, I've been told that on that day we would be preparing our valise but we still haven't, tomorrow is our last possible day.
Yesterday I went on MSN and no one was on!! Except Chris, who I talked to. It got me thinking, I don't talk as much to everyone from Canada and I miss that. I mean, I have this blog but except for the comments, it's basically one way. I miss talking with everyone. :(
Yesterday we watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding. My favourite part is where they're explaining that he is vegetarian and the Aunt says "That's okay, I make lamb." Fun fun.
I shall leave you all now but leave comments, email me, etc.
'Till next time!

Mmm.... Muffins
Hello everybody!
Today is Saturday (duh) and Juliette, Emma, Elena (Emma's friend) and I are making muffins!
Right now we're stalling because Francoise went out to buy bananas, a critical ingredient for banana chocolate chip muffins. Yesterday when I was feeling a bit better, the 4 of us (listed above) took Emma's face-paint (basically fancy markers) and COVERED eachother's faces. It was quite a site and yes, I took pictures. I will put them on here soon, I promise. Francoise was a bit nervous when we came down because she was wondering as to whether they would wash off or not. We said that yes it did wash off but even if it didn't there's no school for another 2 weeks and no one would see us. Don't worry, it did wash off. We played tons of cards last night and this morning. We haven't seen Grey's yet but soon!! I'm excited to see it. :D Juliette and I make a kick ass signal team and we win basically everytime. Emma and Elena soon got tired of this so they suggested we switch the teams around a bit. :P My stomach is better now, yay, and soon I will be making muffins with the 3 girls and of course, tasting them. 'Till next time!

Oooooh
Hello.
That 'oooooh' in the title is not a good 'oooooh', it's a sick 'oooooh'. I'm home alone, and sick. It's sucks to be sick. My stomach hurts everytime I move and everything I do takes so much energy! Francoise was very nice about it and brought me breakfast in bed, mmm, I love pain-au-chocolate. Today does have it's perks though. For instance, I get to watch Grey's Anatomy! Yay! Marie also informed me that I can watch any dvd that they have or whatever I want. I have made a vow that I will start taking pictures today, and if I take any videos, I will post them on youtube and post the link here. So don't worry, it's not that I havn't given you guys any pictures, it's just that I havn't taken any. Whoa, I don't feel that well again so I'm going to go lie down. I love and miss you all!!

I have run out of interesting titles for today... sorry
It's me again, someone, please remind me to STOP saying that!! It's 10'clock here and I was just on MSN for about 3 minutes talking to Justin. I miss you all but things are looking up! Corsica on Wednesday, school's over tomorrow for 2 weeks, Charles is coming on Saturday morning, all of the Lancesseur's loved their presents, it's good and happy.
I tried out the shower today and despite all the rumors that the pressure is terrible and what not, it's not bad. I quite enjoyed it. Ha ha, I'll stop talking about the showers now, I promise.
I really should go to bed soon, it's 10 (as I said before) and I have to wake up atf 6:50 tomorrow morning. Ah well, I'm used to not very many hours of sleep. Juliette showed me today how to switch the keyboard to the North American keyboard, as long as I know it by memory, it works. Lucky me, I played Mavis Bacon and I know all the keys. It's good, you might start seeing longer posts now that it is easier to type but you never know...
I have a bit of a stomach ache so I think I'll go lie down. The way home from school is all twisty-turny going 60 kilometers an hour... oh my stomach started to turn. Fun as this is describing my discomfort, I shall leave you all. You might get a post tomorrow, probably the day after seeing as that's Saturday but we leave for Corsica on Wednesday! Goodbye for real now!

Me again!
Hello all, it's me again. Infact, it will always be me who posts on this blog, sorry for the harsh reality. Life is better. I think it was so hard two nights ago because I was SO tired. It's better now, I've basically caught up with my sleep and I'm almost completly up to date in relationship to jetlag. Today I had my first day of school, we left at 7:30 and got back between 5:30 and 6 at night. School was good, I liked it. We had two hours of English and Iwas a bit confused when the teacher said dwisgoo-sting (disgusting). At first, people were a bit confused as to whether they should give me bisous or not but by the end of the day, I got parting kisses. Happy(er) days. It's getting better, I keep writing letters to send through the mail but I end up emailing people or writing something on my blog before that basically says what my letter said. I've given up! I hope all is well in Canada, yesterday it was warm here, no snow of course. Last night Juliette, Marie, Emma and I watched Grey's Anatomy (last weeks episode) then we watched One Tree Hill (which I have never seen before). It was good. Sorry no pictures are up yet, I havn't taken many... er... does 6 count? Don't worry, I'll get more soon, defintely when we go to Corsica. I have to stop typing before I go mental with this crazy keyboard. Everyone: leave comments, email me, etc. I miss you all!!!

Bonjour everyone!
Hello all (look familiar?)
I have arrived now and am struggling greatly with this keyboard, it's so different!! I hope that eventually it will come, the most confusing thing for me is that the letter a and the letter q have switched spots. Last night I got in and had pizza for dinner but was so tired as I haden't slept for 35 hours that I went to sleep. Or tryed anyway. I cried straight for about an hour. I tried to read my book but it didn't help much. Bee Harper says that it's mostly because of jet lag and as some of us know, Bee knows ALL!!
Thanks for the comments everyone (I got so many on my last post, now I know that all I have to do for lots of comments is write boring notes. Alright, I'm home alone and I should go shower before they get home.
Bisous,
Emma

Waiting for the pop..
Hello all,
Wow, I always start my blog-posts the same way. No creative energy is flowing into that area. Anyway, with regards to the title of this post (Waiting for the pop..) it's because I am waiting for my toast to pop, it's in the toaster. I just got back from my hair appointment and my hair (in my opinion) looks nice, Jane agrees. At 11:30, I will go to school and say by to everyone (they will have just written their Math exam, ha ha). Oops! My toast just popped, I got to go!! Will talk later, sorry for the short and boring post.

Finally!
Hello everyone,
It's me (again!). I know you are probably sick of hearing from me, and I haven't even gone to France yet! AHH! Whatever shall you do? I know! Ignore that feeling in your gut and keep reading :P
It's the day before I go to France and I finally started packing! Mom and I layed out everything I'm going to bring and we actually have it in a bag and ready (almost) to go! Unfortunatly, when we weighed it, it was 60.8 pounds and it can only be 50 pounds. Problem.
Easily fixed! We are splitting up my stuff so that it is in 2 seperate bags. Voila. Problem solved.
Before leaving for France I got some beautiful presents from people. From Sara I got a homemade purse (B-E-A-Utiful!! AND it looks hard to make!) and earrings. Thanks Sara!!
From Emily I got a GORGEOUS pink bracelet for breast cancer, and of course her trademark hat/boat orgami. Which ended up unfolding to become a card! Will wonders never cease?! Thanks Emily!!
I recently figured out (or rather, was told) how to add pictures to posts! Again with the wonders thing! Whoa, lots of exclamation marks. I must go now, phone call from Anne. Ciao everyone!
I've given up on the whole teen girl squad thing, sorry dad.

Home sweet home
Hello all,
Today I had my final hockey game with VIS against Fieldstone, also known as the Flinstones, and we lost 5-2. Whatever. I'm not to broken up about it. After hockey, Sara, Zach and I went to McDonalds (Yum, taste those chemicals!) at Lawrence and Dufferin and amused ourselves greatly. We asked what muffins they had (Cranberry and carrot) then proceeded to order sundaes. When we picked up our food, we asked again what types of muffins they had. Once we had driven away, we called the phone number that they had printed on the receipt and asked what muffins they had, what they had in stock then we actually RESERVED a muffin that we said we would 'pick up' in 1/2 an hour.
As if that wasn't enough, we spent the whole car ride home calling random numbers we saw on people's store sign (Fruit and veggies stand, real estate, a gym, dental office, etc.) and asking them what types of muffins they had. Some people humored us, some thought we were crazy, some were a little ticked off. It was especially funny when we called KFC and asked them. Jeff said he knew that they had chicken but what deserts did they have. They said that they had brownies. But they also said they had apple pie, which is when Jeff asked what flavors of apple pie they had. We all cracked up, good times.
Sara came over after and we watched Grey's Anatomy and um.. all I have to say for that is OH MY GOD! And the worst part? I can't even see the next episode until MAY! I'll get updates from Emily and Sara though, not to worry. Well, that's all folks.
Dad, I may have a little trouble with the whole Teen Girl Squad thing, hmm... must think of something. Is it okay if they didn't use it (as they only have 10 episodes) but it includes the word 'gal'? Great. =P
This one will not have one, I shall try hard(er) next blog post-thing.

It's over!
Well, it's officially official!! Spirit of Math is O-V-E-R until MAY! Well, except for the homework I have to do in France. When Mr. Padure was telling us when Jet Set VI was due (2 weeks) I was silently laughing because mine is due in 3 months! Sweet. The bus was even NICE to us! It came on time and Jim was waiting for us RIGHT after we went got to Main Station. Happy, happy days.
Today I played my last Volleyball game for Voice Intermediate School. We won one game and lost the other. Today we had study all day (as you can tell by my previous entry) and we 'borrowed' Ms. V's CD player and practiced the dance. There was some type of crisis at school that I'm not really sure what happened. Ah well. I'm going to FRANCE!!
Tomorrow is volleyball practice and we have my last hockey game. :( I'm going to miss hockey, especially my hockey line; Zach, Micheal and me! Wish us luck! We will be playing at 3:10 at Rinx. Poor Becca has 2 practices directly after the game... AT RINX! Convenient, though tiring.
I love this whole blog thing and I really want to write in it a lot. Lucky for all of you. I will say again that if you want to be on the photo emailing list, either email me WITH your email address or email mi mutti (my mother). Enjoy your free pass into my crazy brain. I'm surprised my body is able to function while during the everlasting combat between my brain and mind. I think that my brain will win. :P

Exams
Today is Thursday the 15th of February, 2007 of course. But I don't really know why I take the time to write the date when it says the date that the post was published. Hmm.... feel free to disregard it.
Right now I am actually at school (:O I know right?!) and we have study all day because of exams next week. I'm in the History room with Emily and Sara, Emily is studying like the hard worker she is. Sara is curled up in a ball in a big comfy chair reading her book. Who has the better idea? Meanwhile, I'm in the corner, typing what you will be/are reading. It took me 1/2 an hour to get this computer. I took out 2 laptops before but then the internet wouldn't work and I had to get a new one, slightly boring, I'll stop.
Well, I think that my previous post was probably more interesting than this one but that's only because I don't have much that happened since last time. I promise that they'll get atleast a BIT more interesting once I get to France. :P
I've been thinking a lot about France but I still have thoughts that are 'up in the air'. I'm SUPER excited to go. I just... I might get homesick, probably will. Jane AND Kate got homesick and they don't get homesick when they're still in their home country, I do. We'll see how it goes.
Ms. Webb just walked by and I think she thinks I'm doing something studious. Little does she know I'm CHATTING!! Horrors of ALL HORRORS!! Ah well, what can you do.
As some of you may know, I will be putting my pictures in a gallery/slideshow on the kodak website. I will email it to some people but if you are not on that list, either email me to tell me to add you to my list OR email my mom and she will forward it to anyone (won't you mom? :D). It is all (fairly) under control.
I can hear Ms. Nicole in the movement studio with I think the grade 7's. Poor them, I believe they are having a full body workout to music by the Black Eyed Peas. Lunch is in 1/2 an hour and I'm staying in (Thanks for the lunch mom!).
Well, I could probably rant more about irrelevant things but I'll spare you, atleast until tomorrow. Or France.
'Till next time my spanish gallions

Ooh... Ahh... Wunderbar!
Success!! A blog!! Finally, I'm ready (well, except for that whole packing thing...). France in 5 days. A mixture of sadness and excitement is practically PUMPING through my veins!! Oh, my, god... I'm insane. Me thinks I might not post this... must decide. Hmm....
Today was Valentine's day and I got a lovely card, rose, and chocolate! Yum. You can never go wrong with chocolate. It was a fun day with a foot of snow! It was nothing compared to New York, I hear they got 11 ft. of snow! Whoa. That would've been cool though, we could have gone sledding off our roofs! Great idea... I must find a way to put it into action.
Well, this is my first blog and I have this bad/good habit of writing everything that comes to mind. Which is why I sound slightly crazy. All of you reading this will probably get used to this by the end of the three months. Ha ha, I feel bad for everyone who though I was normal... :D The things you learn everyday.
The 5 day countdown has commenced! Let the counting begin!!
