Hello all,
Today's Tuesday and because so many teachers are away on trips, I actuallyhave NO school today! Is that awesome or what? Well, I'm going to make cookies today because everyone else has school today. Well, Juliette starts music at 3 and Marie and Emma started at 10 but still. Emma has 2 hours of class today, then she has music. Juliette still sleeping (It's 11:30 in the morning) but it's basically just me. Well, yesterday I got my first test back, and it was in French (not just the language but also the subject) and I got 3!! I'm very proud of myself. Those of you who don't know the French way of tests I shall explain. Every test is out of 20. It is considered a very good if you get a 15 and exceptional to get anything higher. Rarely is a 2o scored. Around is what you are supposed to aim for. Well you're supposed to aim for 20 but 10 is like our B. From 5 - 10 is a C and 5 and under is a D. The first day I got there, everyone else got a test back. To give you an idea, the highest mark was 13 and a few people got 0's, now do you understand why I'm happy? Good good. Well, I did 8 Jet Set VII questions today for SMS, dad, you would have been proud. Well, I think I'll go start the cookies now. I hope everyone is enjoying their March Break!
Love Emma

Dear Emma,
Of course I am proud that you completed your SMS work so swiftly. I am even more proud that you completed it without asking me any questions! (Just kidding; you are quite a self-reliant mathematician.) But I am most proud of your score on the French test. I first learned of the French grading system from the horror stories that Neil and Mandy brought home from their year in France, and I have not forgotten it. Félicitations!
Love,
StrongDad

I didn't understand the subject line of this post, however.
Hey Emma, it's sara
I sent you my adress if you haven't already gotten it.
Congratulations on your test. I definetly wouldn't have done very well. The French grading system sounds alot harder and a bit more complicated than the system hear. Once again, congratulations.
How long is the school day in France?
Well, for the past few days we have been at Blue Mountain skiing. It was fun, but by the last day I was so tired. We also watched Casino Royale, it was funny, intense, and a little freeky in parts. But still good.
Well I think that's all for now.
Keeping blogging, it's fun hearing from you.
Miss you,
Sara
Emma,
Congratualtions on your first french test! I think I would love to go to school in France. It seems it isn't school every day at the same time - it seems it changes each day. You have time in the days often... to bake ...cookies... yummy.
Love
Auntie Sue
